I have never heard of anyone spending rumors so somebody can go out with you.
You should worry about your education, spelling, and sentence structure. You should also be smart enough to tell this guy to leave you alone because you are not interested in dating him.

Try talking to him yourself and tell him to stop spreading rumors.
If that doesn't work, have your boyfriend talk to him.
If your boyfriend is anything like mine, he'll resort to violence if he has to in order to keep another guy from talking **** and/or trying to get with his girlfriend.
