mexicans are from latin america. therefore they are also latino. not all latinos are mexican. all mexicans are latinos, whether they live in the U.S. or in Mexico. hispanic is a word used mostly in the u.s. to designate people of latin american descent. hispanic is not even a word that is recognized the same way in Mexico.

"Hispanic" is a meaningless word used for political reasons.
