Most of the time she was at Mt. Vernon waiting for the war to end. Occasionally, she went to the camps where her husband was at. A lot of wives did this. She visited her husband at Morristown in the winter of 1776-77. She visited George again at Valley Forge in the winter of 1777-78. She even, occasionally while at Valley Forge, delivered hot soup to the troops. She was a typical officer's wife.
