the green concealer is great for covering up red spots because the green cancels out the red. just put it over the red and then apply foundation over top. skin colored concealer is good for covering blemishes or moles with no red in them. you apply it the same way as the green.

WHAT CONCEALER IS:
Concealer is used to cover up obvious blemishes that "spot" your face.
HOW TO APPLY IT:
There are two schools of thought on how to use it. The original way is to apply it directly to your acne or any other blemish on your face and then apply your foundation on the top.
The problem with this method is that sometimes applying the foundation on the top wipes the concealer away.
I prefer to put my foundation on first and then the concealer on top. A slight issue with this is that it's harder to blend when you do it this way.
Occasionally when I have a really horrible spot I apply the concealer first, let dry, apply pressed powder, then foundation, and then another coat of concealer & powder. Again, blending is an issue here.
Also, if you don't want/need to wear a full foundation, pick a concealer that is slightly lighter than your skin tone and apply the concealer to your trouble spot and blend very well. Cover with a light coat of loose or pressed powder and you're on your way!
WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU:
Concealers usually come in either a tube similar to lipstick or a little bottle similar to lip gloss.
The tube is best for sheerer coverage or if you need to cover a larger area.
The little bottle is better for heavier coverage or smaller areas.
You want to find a color that will blend well with your skin tone.
GREEN CONCEALER:
The theory behind green concealer is that the color green will cancel out the color red.
Some people swear by these, I have not had very good luck with them. I have very light skin and any color will show up very well. The green concealer would probably work best on someone with a beige or olive undertone to their skin.
After applying the green stuff, let it dry throughly, and then apply a concealer on top that matches your skin tone. You may want to go slightly lighter.

How to put on concealer:
1. chose the shade of your concealer carefully (pale skin, use light beige with yellow undertones: olive skin, use medium beige w/pink undertones,f or darker skin, use a medium to medium-dark shade with peach undertones)
2. Gently pat as you go, apply moisturizing eye cream about one inch below the eye, don't place it too close to your lower lids
3. lightly place a small bit of concealer directly over the area needed (use a small flat brush or dot with your fingertip) blend gently into the skin, if you want a transulcent finish add hint of moisturizer.
Remember start out with less than you might need.
Types of concealers:
Liquid concealer - dry skin and for concealing large areas like under-eye circles
Solid concealer - to hide stubborn pimples, scars & bruises
Green concealer is reduces redness if you have a zit/pmiple or a sunburn.
Yellow concealer is for dark circles.

Concealer is usually to cover up pimples or scars, make sure that you get the concealer that matches your skin color because if you don't it will look really weird. If you get the pencil kind it is really easy to pencil it on anything you want to cover up.
