The PS3 is a goliath of a system.

With a full library of PSX and PX2 already out there and, surely, an endless avalanche of PS3 games to come; graphical cabability second to none and a price tag lower than the cost of producing the system itself. (That's right, Sony is taking a loss on every unit sold.)

It is absolutly worth every last penny.

Every last penny of the retail price. Get it from a store and pay the $500 or $600. If you can't get it from a store yet, wait. Don't blow the well over a thousand dollars that people are spending on EBay and other non-retail sources.

At $600, the PS3 Platinum is an absolute steal. Wait till you can get it in a store and buy one then.

I bought a Wii to keep me busy until then. ;)

Yes,I guess youre pissed off by the prices but it can also play PS2 and PS1 games. So save money by buying Ps2 games instead of playing PS3 games because PS2 games are also cool.
