Did you hear that song Revelations? He seems to be asking for enlightenment from somebody that knows it all- I'm thinking this could only be God. The lyrics also include references to reaping in the after life. Revelations is also a book in the Bible and Chris Cornell (lead singer for audioslave) seems to reference religion (in a more negative fashion) in his older work with Soundgarden.

The album is said to have a number of songs influenced by old-school R&B and Soul, with guitarist Tom Morello describing the album as a cross between Led Zeppelin and Earth, Wind & Fire. Several of the songs on the new album, such as "Wide Awake" and "Sound of a Gun", take a more overtly liberal political stance than previous Audioslave releases... so no he has always had religious overtones for example ''like a stone'' they rock in my book either way...!!!

They better not. Cornell has thirteen albums recorded, and yes Soundgarden does have "christian" like songs, but I think he is running out of things to sing of. He is still an awesome singer though. I just am a bit disappointed Audioslaves third album was not as good as the first two.

If what I heard is right, this will be their last album, the current one. Chris Cornell is going to do solo stuff. I highly doubt that they are crossing over.
