connect DSL to Router
and Router to computers
If you dont have wireless capabilities on computer connect it using LAN cable (cat4 or higher with RJ45 Jack)

You dont need to isntall dsl. All you have to do is get the other computer connected to the router. Buy a wireless usb adapter, if its a desktop. Or you can have it wired to the router. If its a laptop new ones have wireless integrated so you just have to let the connection be found. Basically all you have to do is get the computer to communicate with the router and you will be on the internet in no time.

You need to place the router between the DSL modem and any computers that surf through it. Connect both computers to the router, and then connect the Router to your DSL Modem via the WAN port on your Router. Power recycle everything starting from the DSL modem, then the Router and then each computer to clear their settings.

FYI - Some DSL companies registry the MAC address of the system and only allow one on via a single connection and so you might need to turn the Modem over, write down the MAC address and then call your DSL provider in case they need to register it on their network.
