Butt slap during shot?

Why does the nurse sometime slap your butt before an injection there? Has anybody experienced this? What'd you do after?

It kind of freaked me out.

never happened to me.....had plenty of shots in that area.

same question was asked last night.. I'd ask for another please just a lil harder and on the other cheek
