I need some ideas, that's all. I have a story that I need to do for school and usually I can come up with ideas, but it seems nothings coming. So I was just wondering if you could help me get the juices flowing. All I really need is an idea, nothing more. I'd reallly appreciate that.

How about an adopted child coming into a family just in time to spend Christmas and how this bonds them as a family. Perhaps the child came from a home or country where they didn't celebrate Christmas so you can describe all sorts of Christmassy things and the child's wonder of experiencing them for the first time. Would let you make the imagery rich with sights, smells etc.

How about a fighter pilot flying home on Christmas Eve after a really boring testing day - and his Christmas wish was for something different and exciting to happen. A few miles out from his base he has an encounter with a UFO - they communicate goodwill - and he's able to go home and tell his children a Christmas story with a difference.

Buy a newspaper and read the news plus all the little human interest stories (pit bull attacks owner, brother and sister find each other after 50 years, baby abandoned in a garage, etc. etc.) You will find lots of ideas for a story.

How about the legend of the thunder bird,since you want to be an air force pilot.The Native American story is very thought provoking and sounds like an F-16 in a time warp.

You need to be more specific, you could write a paper on the effect the Iraq war has on the average citizen or the families that are left behind. Or the mortality of cigarette smokers. Really need more info to help you. Good luck.

Well what is the assignment? Let's see you can talk about real world occurences or make belief that seems realistic. How about someone that got abducted by aliens and what is like in another planet? I'm a scifi aficionado. I hope this helps.
