i own a repair shop,and you have to remove the battery cable from it to do this,,then release the tension on it,,and remove the blots that hold it,,there's 2 of them,and remove the wires from it,and remove it from the car,,those ones are real easy ,a good time for this should be around 30 minutes to an hour,,good luck,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

As usual,I have to agree with Dodge-Man.
Removing an alternator is not such a big deal.
Follow instructions for removal as per maint. manual..
You'll need tools ,SAE & Metric,especially when it comes to GM
products.They don't know what they want to use
You also have to know how to set tension on the belts going to
the alternator.Again,. not a big deal.

disconnect the battery, unbolt it, unplug the wires, remove the belt. reinstall in reverse order. should take less then 1 hour
