It hasn't been on for a few weeks....is it cancelled?

It has not been officially cancelled; it has been put on hiatus. ABC may decide to cancel without airing the unaired episodes or they could air the as yet unaired episodes or maybe they'll put the episodes online without airing them like some other networks have, but it's most likely not going to get an order beyond the 13 episodes already made. (Seven episodes have aired.)
On a personal note, if we don't get any more episodes, I'm glad we at least found out what Jeremy did to break he and Lizzie up–that's actually the "mystery" I most wanted to find out about.

According to www.thefutoncritic.com (which gives a listing of shows that have been cancelled or on hiatus, etc.) there is no mention of "The Nine". The only "new" shows that I've noticed within the last couple of days, as being cancelled are "3 lbs. (which only lasted 2 weeks), Fashion House and Desire".

Yeah ABC pulled the plug on it. I'm upset I liked that show. ABC had ordered a few episodes that haven't aired yet. ABC said that they would air them sometime after the first of the year.

Yes. A couple of premire shows have been cancelled due to lack of popularity.
