my printer can't be detected when i load the software?

i have a lexmark printer, only a couple of years old and my printer isn't connected to the right port or whatever. But I was printing stuff out just the other day! Please help a lost soul, thank you big time. mu-ah!

If your printer hooks to the computer with a USB cable, try hooking the cable to another USB slot on the computer. Also unplug the printer from the outlet, plug it back in, restart the computer. I had the same problem with a Lexmark, and ended up buying a HP printer, and no buggy problems to date. Best of luck.

If don't work in the first port, move it to other--I am not a fan of Lexmark either--Good Luck.
