Ticking off a friend doesn't bother me. There are always worse feelings.

My teacher is so nice and someone I can consider easily as a good friend. So his nickname for me is Emmy, my other friends call me this too. One day he was saying I should take a rain check on all that chatting with my friends. I was depressed and I just said out of nowhere that people I don't like can't call me Emmy. I felt pissed off right after I said it and totally regretted it. I felt so much hurt, so probably like ten minutes later I apologized. He understood, luckily!

i know what you mean, but the even worse feeling is actually being ticked off by a friend. that person has to deal with the fact that a person they knew for a while has betrayed or hurt them. i imagine it makes someone feel quite lonelly.

Sometimes friends need a good ticking off.
especially if they have started to take you for granted.

Yeah, it's that you've lost your friend forever because of your ticking them off.
