Her mom beat her multiple times, and she is now kicked out of her house. Every guy shes dated in the last three months has dumped her in less than a week. She will only date "cute" boys...she is very depressed and i don't want to say anything wrong, so i ask, what advice should i be giving her?

This girl is 17 and her grandma just had a heart attack last night to top the other stuff off :\ life sure is hitting her hard, ive never had that much stuff happen to me at once. She doesn't get in much trouble, she is in PSEO(post secondary enrollment option) and seems to be doing well in her college classes...

Just tell her that she is a great person, no one else but you seem to realize that. In time she will find a 'cute' boy, but try to get her to be happy with herself first. make sure she knows that you are always there for her. Take her out to do something fun like a movie, make sure it's a funny movie. With a little love and happy words she'll be better soon.

I hope I helped.

I had a friend like that. It was humiliating for her and her sister. Especially when you saw the black & blue marks during PE class. The best thing I could do was listen, and I tried to build her confidence up. Both sisters moved a couple of thousand a miles away from their parents. And happy to say, they both made it through all those ugly times.

By the way they(sisters) did call the police on the parents, it helped for awhile.

Sounds like you have a good ear, and that is something she will never forget.

How old is your friend. If she's having trouble at home, then she's vulnerable and will go looking for attention in all the wrong places, ultimately ending up with the wrong person. No one deserves that. What she needs to do is get herself in some group counselling - it helps and keep on being her friend. Why did her mom beat on her????

Where is she living now? Tell her to call the teen hotline in your area. They may be able to help her find shelter and get her on the right track.

She should go to the police, immediately. Also, she probably needs to be in counseling. Forget about her dates....her life and health are the important issues.

Confront them. in the event that they nevertheless act as immature as they have been, it relatively is time to locate some new acquaintances. even although your father and mom and their father and mom are close, i'm particular your father and mom might understand your surprising loss of interest in spending time alongside with your "acquaintances" in case you clarify what's been happening. sit down with the those which you have have been given been sitting with for the previous few days. in the experience that your previous "acquaintances" proceed to throw issues at you, advise to the individuals you sit down with to bypass to a table it relatively is farther away out of your previous "acquaintances". no one might desire to might desire to bear that form of abuse. do no longer save them around in basic terms when you consider which you experience such as you will possibly desire to. you do no longer. locate some new acquaintances, and avert your different ones.
