What kind of gift to get a guy friend - not boyfriend?

I'm a girl and my best friend is a guy. I have no clue what to get him. He is not a gamer or a car person. He has net flicks so movies are out of the question. I'm looking at spending about $50-$100. He's a college student (19), but has plenty of money from his dad so he has everything he needs, an ipod etc.

Gift Certificates are the best to give to a person when you don't know what do get them. Maybe you can give him a gift certificate to one of his favourite stores or restaurants and he can make the selection of the sort of gift he really wants. That way you also don't have to shop until you drop or wear yourself out.

Another idea is to give him a gift certificate to one of his favourite electronic stores. That way he can buy something he mite need for school.

Also if a gift certificate isn't where you want to go you could either give him a personal cheque or money order and that way he's not locked into a gift certificate at any particular store. He can buy what he wants any where.

You could also be creative in the way you wrap it up by buying a christmas stocking and filling it up with chocolates, nuts, and some mandarin oranges and stick the gift certificate or cheque at the very bottom. He won't know what's he's getting until he finds it at the bottom.

Some people I know will buy a wallet and stick money in it so they think they are getting just a wallet but not quite. The wallet is the teaser.

You could also buy him a little basket body shop product and also include part cash as a part of the gift. You could split up the amount and buy a part gift part certificate or money order or just cash.

Sometimes you can get some really nice items at the dollar store like a piggy bank or even a small joke item and put the amount you want to add in with that in a stocking like a little care package.

You could make a little care package by putting in a few edible items, dollar store items, some home made items and with a gift certificate or money?

There are so many ways to give a gift of money by adding things to make it look like fun.

He may have Net Flix, but I would consider giving a concert DVD of someone he likes. These DVDs are easy to watch over and over, often just as background music.

Sounds like he may be in a rich family, but how about gift cards to restaurants or book stores? I know that I would have enjoyed getting those when I was in school.

Get him some sexy smelling cologne. A poster of a really hot chick is something that he might enjoy. Since he's in college, a globe would be really nice.They have really cool ones out there.

your in the same position as me! i was wondering a the same thing. well what i bought was a cute shirt from hollister for him. but if you think that may be too much, like if hes not that good a friend, then maybe a CD if you know his favorite band. a beanie hat <-- those are always good.
