Sometimes. Generally thought its not enough until you're late for your period. by that point you're closer to 4 weeks.
Your levels double jsut about every day.
Although by 3 weeks there is generally enough for a blood test :)

It depends on whether you're talking about 3 weeks after your last period or 3 weeks from the date you think you conceived. Some home pregnancy tests claim that you can get results even before you miss a period. I wouldn't really count on those to be accurate.
BTW, the date of your pregnancy is based on the first day of your last period....the estimated due date is calculated from that point. So, if you are talking about the date you think you conceived...which would be approximately 2 weeks after your LMP, and you are talking 3 weeks into pregnancy based on possible conception date....you are actually talking about being approx 5 weeks...in other words, you are already a week late....if that's the case, chances are that you will get an accurate result.
If you take a hpt now, no matter what the result, I'd retest a week or so later just to make sure...Of course, though, the best possible test would be one your doctor would do.

Since technically, a woman who is 3 weeks pregnant just got her last period 3 weeks ago:
1. if she's "average" she's not even due to get her period again for another week,
and
2. the fertilized egg might not even have implanted in the uterus yet, which is what triggers the production of hcg,
it is unlikely to get a positive yet.
However, if she implanted early (5 days) then she might be 2 days past implantation and it's POSSIBLE with a very sensitive test.
If she ovulates earlier than day 14 of her cycle, she's more likely to get an accurate reading now, but it's best to wait until at least 12-16 days after ovulation, if you know when it happened, or until a missed period if you don't.
Hcg doubles about every two days in early pregnancy so a negative test result could be followed up with another two days later. $tree brand is a good one.
Good luck!

I tested positive on a home test at only 1 week pregnant. I know this because I had blood work done 3 days later which showed I was 10 days pregnant. I had implanation bleeding which is why I tested anyway. I used a test from the dollar store. Good luck! You can always have a blood test done.

Most of the ultra sensitve one can tell 5 days prior to your period being due. Blood tests are most accurate.

Probably not. Most pregnancy test won't show up until a day or two before your scheduled period.

Three weeks since her last period, almost certainly no.
Three weeks since conception almost certainly yes.
