with my aunt and uncle to start a new life. it is the only way that i feel i can change the path im heading down. ive been on probation since 13, im 21 now and i know everyone in this town. it is just too easy to get caught up in things such as drinking too mutch, drugs, and fighting. i know if i could just get out and get away from this town i could clean up and change but i fail drug tests for pot every couple of months and its just too hard to stay out of trouble here. what can i say to him to help my chances of letting me leave.

explain to him what you are trying to accomplish by moving. Maybe he will let you off, or possible transfer your probation to your new state. Good Luck.

I think what you've said would make me pause for thought were I the judge. I think if I were the judge I would also want to speak to your aunt and uncle and hear why they believe you should be allowed to leave the state. If you can pass a drug test your chances will improve 100%. That would prove you were serious about changing your life. Pot generally leaves your system after a month or so, other drugs take less time. If I were the judge I would not be very swayed if I thought you couldn't stay away from your friends in town for a month. Judges are not stupid, they know that drugs are available no matter where you live. That may be the key to him/her letting you leave the state.

Make him a deal. You are clean for 6 months, you hold a job, and save 40% of your earnings. You enroll in anything you need to (ged, self esteem classes), You create a plan for you life. Are you in school? How will you contribute to society? Just because its tough, thats not a good enough reason. Don't run away, run TO something. Jimmy Crackcorn said, you can be happy, if you have a mind to do it. SO, tell him why you are worth him risking putting you into someone elses neighborhood. Have you grown up? If so, how? Do you pay rent, hold a job, volunteer? What have you done to show YOU deserve to leave. Unfortuntely, your situation has put you at the bottom of the well. It is up to you if you come up, or you stay down. No one else is responsible. LIfe is tough, but you can either stick your shoulder to the wheel and push back to have an extraordinary life, or you can ...wimp out.
You asked.

First thing you need to do is CLEAN UP YOUR ACT!!

Why do you "... fail drug tests for pot every couple of months " ?

Get away from whoever it is you're hanging with.

I believe you can move to another State, but your Probation will follow you, so, before you move, you will have to speak with your Probation officer to get the details ironed out so you don't wind up in jail for evading or skipping out on your Probation.

If what you say is true, that you want to make a "Clean Start", that's how I would approach it.

Good luck - and keep it CLEAN! !!

You convince the judge, and everybody else, that you can change by changing. If you fail drug tests every few months, you are not going to quit failing them by moving somewhere else, thats called a "geographic cure", Ive done it many times, without lasting success.
If you cant get straight for longer than a few months at a time, you might ask yourself why AND what can you do about it RIGHT NOW. Ask yourself, "Do I really want to quit? Good luck.

I think the answer would be easier if we knew what the charges were? Perhaps the Judge thinks the charges are too serious to consider allowing you to move. Go straight and good luck to you.

The place you live is not the problem. The problem is you. You will get in trouble anywhere you go unless you want to fix your life. Forget it, most judges are very smart. You are stuck

The judge can't allow you to go to another state until you've demonstrated that you are willing to clean up your act where you are.

Tell him exactly what your wrote here. Be passionate it about it and make sure he knows how much this means to you. I would even bring you uncle and aunt as testimonials. Good luck, man.
