What is a fuel tank security switch?
Could it be what is needed to cut off the fuel flow? If so, no such thing on the S10, and you have another problem. On an S10, fuel flow doesn't happen when there is fault in the fuel pump, wiring and connectors, fuses, relay, and hoses. You also may even be out of fuel, or have a blocked fuel filter. Someone must have told you that you have that problem(fuel tank security switch in the off position, or accident caused the switch to trip), so run AWAY from that adviser.
I would love to have more information.

I know of no such switch.
I am an ex- GM tech and current service advisor at a Chevy
GMC, Pont and Buick dealer.
What is it that is wrong with your S-10?

i do not imagine there's a stand on my own tank stress change, i imagine the use the gas vapor purge sensor placed lower than the hood, to visual show unit gas stress interior the tank. back not confident, you should carry it to a Ford Dealership and function them perfect diagnose the issue.

There is no such thing on a Chevy S-10.
