My goals set by my supervisor keep getting higher and higher, and I've found I just can't seem to reach them, nor can the rest of my team. I get really disappointed and stressed out by this.

Goals must be reasonable, measurable and achievable in order for them to have any validity.

Determine what you need in order to meet the goals, and have the team tell your supervisor exactly what the team needs in order to achieve the goals, rather than decide from the outset that they are unreachable. Make it clear that the goals WILL BE attained, if the resources are provided, and conversely, that they WILL NOT be attained if the resources are not provided.

Put the onus on your supervisor.

Good luck.

Go back to ur supervisor, talk it out with him and ur team members..list down all the obstacles that's in the way. Get his/team members input, them negotiate/vary those goals..Conquer those goals one by one..there's a saying if you have obstacles infront of ur goal/dream, change your direction to get there, not ur decision to get there..

If u feel stressed out, pause for a while, do something u like and continue when ur calm, ready and focused..

find ways to support the team effort at work without burning out. sometimes doing a little something extra in a few areas can negate the drive that others have to set unrealistic expectaions for others.

well good ways would be exercising or anything that keeps your mind off of work, the bad way would be drinking in excess.

First communicate, then negotiate and then compromise. If that doesn't work look for another job where you are appreciated.
