I am trying to decide on a good name for my unborn child. (I have till August to decide...)

I'm just looking for boy names, because we've already decided on a name if it's a girl.

Something not easily rhymed with anything weird, (so other kids can't make fun), and something that sounds nice with the surname KIRK.

If it helps, we are caucasian, of Scottish heritage.

Please, only serious answers

the baby name i have always loved for a little boy is Kain. its different but sounds strong.
also, cole.
something different but not off the wall.
and also, dont base naming your child on what other kids will say to make fun. if they cant rhyme his name with something, they might find something else to make fun of anyway.

Buy, borrow, or steal from a friend, the book Freakonomics. There is an entire economic study in there (don't worry, it is an entertaining book and relatively easy reading) about names and their future impact on earnings and perceptions. Great book all around. Here's a link.

Those are some good Scottish male names; a little bit of "different from the norm" flavor without being too obscure and out there.
