Just curious about the context of this slutty outburst?
I like them, but more than one an ankle can be a little overwhelming.
the worst thing about them from a boys point of view is getting scratches from them on your leg/ feet, has happened on the odd occassion.

No, wearing an anklet is not slutty it is the matter of what that individual person wants to do with his/her body. Say for example wearing an anklet is slutty like they said well then why would they think that it is slutty and what gave them the idea that it looks slutty on you??.... So, no wearing an anklet is not slutty it is what you want and who you are..... if you enjoy wearing an anklet then wear it nevermind other people just be you

RE:
I frequently wear an anklet and someone recently said it looks "slutty"?
Is this a popular opinion? It had never crossed my mind before and I was surprised at the comment, but just curious to know what others think

Slutty? In the immortal words of Rove, What the?
HOW can an anklet be slutty? Unless by 'anklet' you meant knee high boots, crotchless underwear and boob tassels?
Anyway, enough with the question marks, and forget about it. Whoever said that was a friggin' idiot : )

You should wear something else with the anklet, like pants, then you won't look as "slutty"..

Frankly I kinda agree, lol *sorry*=P
I think the trend originated from traditional Indian dancers that have anklets to their costume - though it's by NO means degrading!
I don't know it's certainly a big trend here in Asia.
But I mean, why bother what people think, it's your prerogative anyway.

Well then genius I would say that YOU are certainly in a "religion" yourself rather you believe it or not. Any and every creationist is in a "religion" based on subset #4 (There is some "zeal" and "conscientious devotion" for you). Any and every homosexual is certainly in a "religion" based upon subset #4 (Even greater "zeal" and "conscientious devotion"). EVERY political party is a "religion" based upon subset #4. And people like YOU who devote such time to such mindless drivel to disparage Christians are also in your own little religion based upon subset #4. And if you are a creationist then YOU would fall under the category of a "religion" based upon #4 AND #3. Your spiritual leader would be Charles Darwin. (Your failure to understand the term spirit or spiritual notwithstanding, does not preclude Charles Darwin from being one of YOUR spiritual leaders). Heck ...and who is more apt to "pursue a cause, principal or ACTIVITY with ZEAL or conscientious DEVOTION than an athlete? So then every athlete is also in a religion according to this pretzel logic which you thought was so brilliant (*couth couth) Your religion is secular humanism and you are a clearly devoted disciple of it. For the record. Christianity is NOT a religion... regardless of how you want to define it. True Christianity is a RELATIONSHIP with God through Christ. Now YOU can call that whatever you may choose to call it. Just as I may call your conscientious devotion and zeal to YOUR cause, principal or activity a "religion" rather YOU may call it one or not.

Ankle braclettes are very elegant, women of all ages wear it. You can wear it casual or dressy.
I wear it and I always bought them as gifts for my friends. There is nothing wrong with them.
Whoever told you it was slutty was just trying to get into a conversation with you.
