bad crankshaft position sensor
located on passenger side of engine down on the bellhousing of the transmission. common no code failure.

I know these cars are not related in any way , but I had a Cavalier that did that same thing , even had it tested, no one could find anything wrong. Finally , by accident I found that the ignition coil was loose. Not the bolts that held it on, but the coil and it's own bracket were loose,and not making good or constant contact with each other. Can't hurt to look,huh?

engine stall at stop ,vacum leak, or egr valve stuck. first listen for hissing around the engine vacum lines one with a crack will cause it to do that.
