open the file on my Windows XP, the message said, "Cannot load Word 6.0." Is there any way I can open the document on the floppy disc on my Windows XP ? It opened in Notepad but its just a big long string of sentences from the beginning to the end. Thanks.

How do I load it back into Wordpad on the old computer? (Computer neophyte here).

1. Put the floppy in the A drive of your pc running XP
2. On the monitor lower left RIGHT click the START button > then left click EXPLORE
3. In the Explore window, LEFT pane scroll down to Drive 3 1/2 Floppy A
4. Double click > the files will show up in the RIGHT panel of the Explore window
5. RIGHTclick/hold down mouse button/drag the file to your Desktop >
release mouse button > selelct COPY HERE
6. RIGHT click File > select RENAME
7. Rename file to
FileName.txt
or FileName.doc,
or FileName.rtf
8. After it is renamed with one of the file extensions that WORD can read, then Double click to open the file

You'll have to take the file back to the old computer, load it back up in Wordpad and save the file as another format like Text. Save that to the floppy.
