MY parents are getting me an Xbox 360 for Christmas! Are they still cool! Would you be excited if you got one?

Heck yeah...Im getting one for Christmas and im pretty excited, and they are still cool cause halo 3 is coming out in the summer and that is pretty much all i want it for...

Yes, Xbox 360 is the best true "next gen" console on the market. Even though the PS3 is way hyped up, it's truly not that good. And the wii while cool is just a little gimmicky. If you look at the graphics, and game play on games like Call Of Duty 3, for the 360 and the PS3, The graphics actually look better on the 360! Plus the frame rate was better. Overall I think the 360 will be the true next gen winner and with 8,000,000 360 sold there's guaranteed to be more great games coming. Awesome games that are already out include Gears Of War, Dead Rising, Test Drive Unlimited, Oblivion, and those are just a few of my personal favorites. So yes be very Excited to be getting the 360, its AWESOME!

Yeah, the Xbox 360 has been out for a while so it has had a while to build up a good library of games.
I'd totally want one.
Oblivion, Dead Rising, and the not-yet released GTA 4 all look like awesome games.

In a way.. Yes.. People still love it and Halo 3 is really making people excited..
But ask your parents to buy the premium and the extended warranty, don't ask why.
I would be excited... How ever I love shooting games and military like games such as Halo and Ghost Recon.. etc... But it's not the "true" "next"-gen console as the Wii since the Wii would give me a whole new gaming experience I would only experience at the arcades... and it would at least make me work instead of sitting and just playing my fat *** or soon to be fat ***... either way I love both consoles..

Since it is one of the latest game consoles, I think XBox 360 is COOL. But I prefer PS3....

NOOOOO, I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread but it gets really boring there is no real effort put into games, The graphics are amazing yeah but its just geared towards playing it online. If I were you I would get a PS3

Yeah, they are cool. to a certain degree. they got excellent graphics but not much diff. than regular xbox. if i were you i would ask for the Nitendo Wii...it is incredible...it is sooo much fun..much better than the 360...look into it.
