Not sure what category this question belongs in. If you can't name one purchase, then name three by category. Example: I bought a 1960 Stingray for $8,000 on ebay motors, or I bought an antique doll for $40 that was a collectible in mint conditon, only it wasn't listed as a collectible. I has since been appraised at $4000. Stuff like that. What's the best purchase(s) you made?

Bought a brand new computer 10 weeks ago - gave my payment details got the delivery and have not been charged for it yet - havent heard from the seller either - cant do better than a $2000 computer system for nothing!

I bought a collector's patch and then 2 years later sold it for an 80% profit after a couple of people got in a knockdown drag out fight right before the auction ended. If I could do that everyday I'd never leave Ebay for Yahoo Answers!

I bought a french horn (brass musical intrument) for my daughter for $50.00 because it was listed with no reserve. It was in mint condition. The brand it is sells for like $2,000.00
Needless to say, I considered it a STEAL. I LOVE EBAY!!!!!

It was a refurbished Sharper Image Air Purifier thing. Got it for $75 and they sell for about $200.

I bought a sweater that I lost. Turns out when I pulled the sweater out of the package it came in, it was my old sweater!!! I left it when I moved to another job, found the "same one" on E-bay and won it and low and behold. . . And, it was about half what I paid for it! Happy Endings!

A Borg-Warner manual transmission for my daughter's Camaro. They don't make them anymore and I was able to find a rebuilt one on Ebay for about $600. It has been an awesome transmission.

I only made one purchase and it was a little history and picture book of Newry, Ireland where my grandfather was born. I love it for all the info it revealed to me. I am the family historian.

i bought a super 8 camera that works perfectly for $15!!! it's an antique and i could see it for a good $500 if i wanted... but i'm keeping it to give to my kids... when i have them!
