Well....... I think that the Bush and Cheney families should pay for it. I mean it is their war isn't it? Why not make them pay for it then? I mean if they make America pay for it, isn't that kind of like forcing someone else to buy a pair of shoes for the Bush's and Cheney's to wear?

I think if the new Congress/Senate were to pass a stupid law like Bush was able to do and make those two families responsible for the cost, it would do a lot to stop some other greedy people from doing the same thing in the future. All the new Congress/Senate would have to do is declare it as an interest of "National Security".

See how easy? *tee-hee* Stick the bill on those who wear the shoes. *kiss*

400 billion is nothing, when you have a budget in the trillions of dollars. The cost so far has been about 3000.00 per US family.
See, this war really is not another vietnam. Monetarialy, its more expensive, but fewer lives lost. you want a cheap war, then prepare to loose more soldiers.
The war on drugs cost about 40 to 50 billion per year. And what results have we seen? Murder rates skyrocketing, prisons overcrowded, average citizens lives ruined because they have a litlle weed. Person rights violated, when you are required to pee in a cup for a six dollar an hour job, required by some employers to give hair samples, blood samples. Mandatory follow up testing if you test positive for pot? Americans sure like to give away their personal rights don't we? We allow all this stuff to happen, then complain about how much is costs.

ON one of the many interviews today Baker said the cost of Iraq is one trillion dollars.

I think he is projecting the future cost but still a pile of $$$

Don't worry the working Democrats will pick up the tab on April 15th

the Iraqi report also said to talk to Syria and Iran and not Israel. and calls for a return of Palestine so who do you think they want to win?

yea, with major oversight by a man who's law firm works for the Saudi Govt. who by the way supports the Palestinians. and not 1 military mind.. I dont follow party lines so just because there is an R next to their name doesnt mean I have to agree with them

We, our children, and at least our grandchildren. As the Chinese, the Saudis, the North Koreans, and many others own our debt, we will be making payments to them, or they might be forced to call in the loans.

The Chinese will lend it to you and borrow your manufacturing jobs to do it.

The Saudis will lend it to you too, and hire you to drive their family members around who aren't allowed to drive.
