should you study right before you write an exam? (like within hours)

Unless you're relyinig on short-term memorization (i.e. a few dates and names), last-minute studying is NOT helpful. Think of studying like packing. You can cram a few things on top, and know where to find them, and you can pack a few days ahead and make sure that you took exactly what you wanted and know where to find it. Or you could just walk into your closet and throw stuff into the suitcase - you'll end up with all the wrong things, and no way to get to it quickly.

Instead, use flashcards and written-out notes/summaries for the few days before to help material sink in, and review 2-3 most relevant things at breakfast that morning. Then, relax and kick butt!

Yes I think it is important .. for my condition when I feel that I didn't study enough I go to study more before the exam to feel good of myself that make me more relaxed when I enter the exam .....
