But of course!!! She is the coolest nanny of all time!! I like A Spoonful of Sugar. Also the part when Bert sings the song of all the girls' names and MP sits there looking indignant. Cute. And the one line--- "Although we adore men individually, we agree that as a group they're rather stupid." Too funny!
I didn't have a tv as a kid, but I had a record player for those little books that read the story to you "ding" it's time to turn the page. I loved the Mary Poppins book, and years later I found those old records and put that one on. I found that I still have it memorized. "Number 17 Cherry tree Ln?"

Let's Go Fly A Kite is my favorite. I always like the less popular songs. I always feel like they are my little secret. Marry Poppins is a favorite of mine too. Julie Andrews rocks. A little trivia for you. Julie Andrews played Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady on Broadway, but when they did the movie they did not think she was known well enough so they hired Audrey Hepburn instead. And they had someone else do the singing. Well Julie Andrews got them all back by winning the Best Actress Oscar for Mary Poppins. So a little so what moment for you today.

i'm definitely a mary poppins fan. she's simply too fun. if you've read the books, you can see that she is a very pompous and egotistical sort of person...but then again she is 'practically perfect in everyway."

I just hate old movies. I don't find it very interesting but it one of those movies that you would watch if you were looking back at your childhood.
