There is an old Buddhist notion that everything everywhere was once all one being, a "god", so to say. One day, the being got bored and squeezed itself like putty into two kinda sorta different parts so that one part could chat with the other part. With supreme imagination, the being continued to differentiate itself into all the known different forms that exist today. Physics is beginning to support that notion. I am different from you only in the frequencies in which we differently shimmer. But, it's all still one composition.

Our own individual perception, physical existence in differing locations, our original and unique spirit, different base of experience, different DNA,
but other than that, not a whole lot

What is 'you' and what is 'me'? Unlike say water and fire, human beings are transient constantly changing things. What makes us different one day makes us the same the next.
Nothing.

You are asking the question, and I am answering it. I am not asking the question, and you are not answering it. Since you have done an act that I have not and vice versa, we are two different beings. QED.

ideas, experiences and the fact that you are unique: you have not existed before and will never exist again. Neither me.
