First of all, definately not if we keep using words like "smarterer". And second of all, let's take a quick look at a little thing called bias. What may seem like a "War of Liberation" to some Americans, is seen by others (Europeans included) as a "War of Profit and Aggression". Consider this example, Nazi Germany (always a good analogy) was fighting a war of liberation when they overran first Poland, then Czexhoslovakia, and finally most of Europe. I mean, they were trying to bring the superior German way of life to all of Europe... What's wrong with that picture? And the excuse that Saddam Hussein was a tyrant is not as legitimate as the administration would have you believe. For example, did Germany have the right to attack the USSR and kill at least 10 million Russians (by anyone's count), just because their leader, Stalin, could have been considered a dictator? Of course not. Bush is opposed because every president is pretty much always being opposed by the other party (and his IQ is not helping). Trust me, the average European is much smarter than the average American, they're just, on the whole, not as idealistic, and they don't threaten to start a "war of liberation" whenever some "flavor of the month" dictator so much as scratches his nose. America is not the center of the world, get over it.....

And, hey, Luna, I moved to America from Ukraine, the home of Stalin's famous purges, and I'm a steadfast liberal. Whoomp, there goes your generalization....

As an American I can tell you this, we are the only ones who have no idea as to what freedom is, we spend all of our time worrying about how the government is taking away our privacy and imposing on our so called freedom. Bush hasnt done anything to help this country and his term is almost over so get ready for that end, if you admire him. The War in Iraq is not for freedom, never was & at this point never will be. How many lives have to be taken for this thing you call freedom, and if you have no empathy for international issues then think locally, how many of your fellow Americans have to be shipped and flown over seas to die for a cause that the media would have you believe is the truth? think about how this country was founded, point blank founded on blood, and what were they doing? they were fighting for this so called freedom, slaves were fighting for their freedom, poor and under educated people were fighting for their freedom, civil rights movements began and what were they doing? they were fighting for this so called freedom, the view is twisted if you think we are the ones with the freedom, true we have some type of worped freedom but the problem is their is too much of the wrong kind, the freedom where you have teenagers gaining access to guns with no I.D., & if your thinking constitution wise you still wont find what freedom it is you are looking for.We have been tricked by our "superiors" and governments into believing we are free, when really we are just slaves with a new mind play & with a different goal. We are still fighting for freedom and I know this is true because I know I am still fighting for it. America is a country where they say anythings possible, well if thats true than why is our country going down the tubes, economically and psychologically. Why do we have so much turmoil going on in our country if you claim we are free? Fact of this matter is we are walking around in the darkness without a light. We are shallow and superficial and we need to change, you think we have it made because we are one of the top countries? you got it wrong, We have been fighting since day one for something we still dont have. there are different types of freedom there is freedom everyone wants and freedom everyone needs and as an American I look around at my people and I can tell you we have none of those freedoms

"Are Americans more smarterer than Europeans?"
There is no war for freedom going on in Iraq. How do Iraqis feel about the US invading their country?

Let's listen to what the Iraqi people are saying, according to a recent poll conducted by the University of Maryland:

** 71% of all Iraqis now want the U.S. out of Iraq.

** 61% of all Iraqis SUPPORT insurgent attacks on U.S. troops.

Yes, the vast majority of Iraqi citizens believe that our soldiers should be killed and maimed! So what the hell are we still doing there? Talk about not getting the hint.

The US never goes to war over "Human Rights". They go in for what they can get out of it.

Democracy is nothing more than a beautiful concept that everyone in the world should be entitled to. However, it has one major flaw: It is the only door to capitalism.

Capitalism, and the human greed it fosters, is the terminal cancer that eventually consumes and destroys true democracy. People eventually become enraged at being raped by the rich and privileged, and rise up and revolt, and dictatorial government is the result.

The prime example of this simple fact is the wanton destruction of personal freedoms; the rape, murder, pillaging and occupation of other nations for their natural resources. This is the United States of America.

The real tragedy of all this is that despots like George W. Bush claim they are doing this to preserve democracy in the U.S. The fact is Americans lost their democracy the day he became president. There is a way to preserve personal freedoms and
democracy; it is called social democracy. Social democracy allows everyone to benefit, not just the wealthy. Social democracy is not communism.

Many Americans are probably smarter than many Europeans but grammatically, you sure ain't more smarter.

In fact, since most Americans have had freedom all their lives, most citizens of other countries have a better understand of freedom than American citizens. If GW Bush had spent some time overseas when he was in the military instead of just playing Top Gun in the Air Nation Guard, he would realize that the people in Iraq are different and that they don't want to be Texans. Unless GW sends hundreds of thousands of troops to occupy Iraq as was done in Germany after WW II, he will never accomplish anything. And, since the US doesn't have the troops to do that he should withdraw the ones there before more are killed.

No it's the other way around, I'm sorry to say.

Consider:

We don't want the rest of the world to use torture but WE should have the freedom to use it.

We don't want the rest of the world to have WMD's but WE are allowed to have them.

WE will tell Iraqi's if and when they are free, if they tell us they do not want us there WE do not care.

Human rights are being violated all over the world, most of all in North Korea and China but WE will fight just in Iraq. Only Iraq.

WE have not defined what "victory" and "freedom" in Iraq means but WE will just keep saying "stay the course" and "fight the terrorists".

WE were attacked on 9-11 by Al-Qaida but WE will pull a "bait and switch" because WE have no idea where Osama Bin Laden is.

WE have a president who does not understand this things but WE will continue to criticize countries who do understand them and support our president no matter how incompetent he is.

I think Europeans are the ones who understand freedom. Not us.

Canadians enjoy great freedom, and in the process are not hated around the world.

As for Iraq, a country has to want freedom, it should not have to be thrust upon them. Quiet democracies have been happening for decades. Some people cannot deal with freedom.

Freedom is not your loved ones dying. It's not sending people to their graves. Let that country be, let them work their own problems out. Many Candians have been sent to war only to come home in a casket. Many countries are happy with the way things are. If they are content, how is it fair to barge in and change it?
