Absolutely. I have a good self image and it is seen as a positive thing by most people that I deal with. I run a hospice and have a staff of fourteen people. I have to have a good attitude and a good self image or I would not be able to lead them. I am happy with my achievements and with my life and I think that it makes me a much better manager and a much easier person to get along with. I am also very interested in the opinions of my staff and make it a point to listen to and incorporate every ones ideas into practice. No one in our office is any less valuable and important than the others. from the secretary to the nursing assistants.
My staff tells me all the time that they appreciate me and I tell them the same thing. If I had a poor self image then it would probably reflect negatively on them and make the work environment very unpleasant.
