Well, I only saw a little snippet of the show. But it looked as tho Kelly Ripa was not letting Clay Aiken speak & was monopolizing the show. So finally, in order to shut her up for a second, he covered her mouth with his hand.
What a furor this has caused. And it was really nothing.
Someone said that Kelly had covered Regis' mouth with her hand on two separate occasions.

I agree with whoever said, she's an over exposed bag of bones. Jeez....let a television station give you a contract and you think you own the world. KELLY RIPA, you are NOONE special. I think someone personally needs to lay into you! Then you'll definately KNOW where there hands have been!!!!

It really doesn't matter what she was saying or not saying , What he did was very rude she tried to make a lite out of the mess but some people just won't let it go .some one should tell ROSIE to mind her own store , cause hers is a mess doesn't mean she should trash Kelly's. KELLY WAS RIGHT

She was talking and wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise. I think. Then she says " That's a no no, I don't know where those hands have been" Then she said she meant because it was cold and flu season. At least that's what Star Magazine said.

I don't know. But I agree with Rosie that there was a homophobic subtext to Kelly's statement about: " I don't know where those hands have been".
