A book on local ghost stories and local legends of the city, town or county the person lives in. Sometimes these books can be found at the historical society, or maybe at the Chamber of Commerce office. Maybe there is a book about your local ghosts & legends. Sometimes local libraries know of such books and have a copy in thier local history section. If you really cannot find a book, buy them a nice, decent ghost costume they can wear next Halloween.

A book on aliens or ghosts would be the best. Then they can learn more about them while the are reading some they are interested in.
