well I've read some of the other answers and i feel i should mention a few things, first of all no one country or nation can own the moon or any other planets for that matter, however private company's and private investors can buy lunar property however the person selling you the property must have actually gone up there and staked a claim and then registered that claim with his or her local government in order for the sale to be legal.
heck i was almost tempted to buy a acre just as a novelty gift for my niece.

1) it is useless
2) you'll never go to the moon
3) you can't take a vacation or live on it
And I'm not really sure anybody can claim the moon and then sell it......
