So, perhaps you don't have windows where you live. What a shame - the rest of us would just go outside, or look out a window to see.
By the way, the sky can be:
blue (sunny day)
black (night time)
grey (cloudy)
white (snowing)
red (sunset)
All depends on the time of day and the weather.

The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.
However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.

The sky is colorless. You cant see air in front of your face, can you?
The blueness we see is simply light from the sun being refracted into that particular wavelength.

If by "sky" you mean the space between the Earth and its atmosphere, then it depends. If you mean space as a whole, then it is black.
