attatchment for pickups on the net a long time ago. its basically catipillar tracks that you can buy, made of rubber and streel that you can replace them for tires and wheels on pickup trucks and some atvs. it allows the truck to go through deep snow. i dunno what its called. its a whole attatchment now just put around the wheels.

They look to me like they would be:

1. very expensive

2. extremely difficult to install/remove

3. easy to break

4. a problem if broken. Do you carry a spare around?

I'm not impressed. I think 4WD and fat off road tires would work just about as well.

I saw this setup also in Popular Mechanics. It was 4 triangle shaped tracks. Sorry I live in Texas and have no need for said item, so I didn't keep info.
