When I push on my eyes, various colors appear like clouds in my eyes(like green, blue, and purple)? I know I sound like a five year old asking this, but I've always wondered why and nobody ever knew.

The pressure againt the eye stimulates the photoreceptor cells (rod and cone cells, which are in front of the retina and lead to the optic nerve) creating false images (the colorful clouds, sometimes called "floaters").

it's because sight, like the other senses, is really just the stimulation of certain neuroreceptors. so you can "create" sight mechanically by pushing on your eyeball because you push it into the back of your eye where it hits the photoreceptors in your retina. even though your eyes are closed you still "see" light because it causes the receptors to fire.

if you rub on your eye then look at your fingers and if it has green goo, you have a sore pink eye!

pink eyes are bad.

they make your eyes possibly blind, really sore, and could not move your eyes.

if you do have green goo on your fingers after you rub your eyes, call the doctor!!!!!!!!!!!!
