There were a couple of movies that influenced me, but I think the one that did the most for me was, "Journey to the Center of the Earth," which came about 1960. It starred James Mason and Pat Boone and was made after the book by Jules Verne. The movie got me interested in rocks and fossils, which I still hunt for and collect today. I was only 12 years then and I watched it twice on Friday evening, twice on Saturday evening and twice on Sunday evening at the little local theater. The cost of going to the movies back then was .35 cents.

Karate Kid was big when I was a kid. We spent countless hours standing in the crane position and kicking so high we fell over. Great fun! Still today I can do all the chore moves Daniel learned. I find they work well to deflect the flying fists of my 5 yr old niece! :)

Superman, definitely. I remember standing for hours in a cape with one arm up in the air!
Also the Star Trek series, tried that Vulcan nerve pinch on so many of my friends...
