My parents hated my being involved in acting, as well as dance and no one has really, truly ever supported my decision to make it a life-long pursuit just because *they* wanted something different for me.
Ask yourself if you REALLY want to act. If the answer is yes, then fight for it. You must look within yourself for support and forget about everyone else, because in the end it's you who must ultimately decide what you want in life otherwise you will be miserable and regret not trying.

Do you want to do it because you like acting, or because you think you will be rich and famous?
You have to do it for the right reasons, and maybe they pick up on that. Plus, you can't blame them; it's a VERY difficult way to make a living. Even if you do go into acting, you should still plan on going to college and learning a valuable "regular job" skill.
(I know, because I didn't follow this advice from my parents, and I'm paying for it now!)
The best thing is to just stop talking about your "dreams" so much with your parents, but actually take action.
Get into school plays, that's the best first start.

Well obviously who gives. Hate to say it, but i was in the exact opposite possition as you, my mother was a drama major, and i wanted to be in drama but wsnt quite sure about it. Now i've been on Speech/Drama/Debate for 2 years now and my freshman year was horrible, i never had a life, bcuz i was always traveling on tournaments every weekend, and my coaches wanted Speech to be #1 priority. Now I am glad i stuck with it because it have helped me in so many ways, it has developed ME, and who I am today, it looks amazing on a resemee and college applications, and helps you a lot with communication applications in life. So Try to tell your parents that not only is it something you really want to strive for, but that it will benefit you in many ways throughout your lifetime. Try that and GOOD LUCK!

no possible tension you to have an abortion, no remember how previous you're. Your parents could have rights over you, yet they have not got any rights over your baby. you have an abortion at 13, yet in lots of circumstances the people on the medical institution will confer with you approximately why youre having an abortion and in the event that they think of that youre being compelled into it they wont carry out one on you. That being suggested, i think of you relatively could think of troublesome approximately no remember if or no longer protecting this toddler is a sturdy thought. how can you help it? Do you even comprehend how a lot toddlers value a twelve months? Your no longer sufficiently previous to get a job and with the aid of the sounds of it your parents are unlikely to be an excellent help in case you return to a decision to maintain it. if your parents kick you out, the place are you going to flow? What are you going to do approximately college? What occurs if your boyfriend realizes it fairly is purely too troublesome and leaves you (and probability is this could happen)? You and your boyfriend are toddlers. Are you relatively waiting to be elevating yet another baby for a minimum of the subsequent 18 years? i comprehend it style of feels super thinking approximately having a lovable little toddler including your boyfriend and being a lovable little kinfolk, yet there's a lot greater to parenting then purely that. confer with a counselor at your college including your boyfriend and attempt to ascertain what selection is nice for you - abortion, open adoption, closed adoption or protecting it. this form you may get the opinion of a impartial 0.33 party who's purely looking out for the terrific pastime of you and your boyfriend. this could placed some issues in attitude for you. stable luck.

Sit them down, and talk to them, be reasonable and willing to compromise (ex. you'll do a part in a play in exchange for getting a certain grade average). Show your parents you're responsible and can be trusted, that way they'll be more lenient and let you try things they normally wouldn't let you to try.

Take a theater class in school. Grow up some more and do what you want to do when you are an adult and allowed to make your own decisions.
