It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World!!! Saw it at the theater when it came out as a kid in Cinemascope, and still the funniest movie I have ever seen! Hands down. Nobody ever put so many big name folks together all in the same movie like that one did. Virtually every comedian of the day was in that thing and was almost 4 hours long in the theatre version. DVD is excellent. Johnathan Winters made his career in that one. Milton Berle, Ethel Merman, Phil Silvers, The Three Stooges, Sid Ceasar, Mickey Rooney, Jim Bachus, (or Mr. Magoo and Gilligan's Island fame) Spenser Tracy, Peter Falk (Colombo) William Demerest (Uncle Charley from My Three Sons) and a whole long list of names I forget. The entire moveie is a chase scene across Southern California in cars, planes, and whatever they can find all looking for the money buried in Santa Rosita under the "Big W" Jimmy Durante was the crook. I get to laughing just thinking of lines from that movie.

It's a tie between two: Waking Ned Devine (I thought I would DIE laughing) and I Love You To Death.
Waking Ned Devine is a gem - it's easy to find at Blockbuster or somewhere like that. It's about 5 years old.
I Love You To Death - it's a true story, and the funniest you'll ever see. It's a dark comedy (I love that , but some people don't), and incidentally it has a great performance by River Phoenix. Also, look for Keanu Reeves and William Hurt as a couple of really lame hit men, stoned out of their minds. OMG!!

My favorite funny movie is "My Favorite Year." Not everyone's favorite - there is no cussing, sex, or rude humor. But, it is very good, clean, and funny. It stars Peter O' Toole as a old Swashbuckler Actor in the 50's who is getting ready to appear on a live variety show. It is outstanding writing - watch and enjoy.

I thought "40 Year Old Virgin" was hilarious.
It's been on dvd for a while.
There's also an old Bill Cosby video w/ him doing stand-up.....I can't remember the name of it, but it's the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life!!!
