America, if you ask me, is like the popular clique in a high school. The most popular girl, if you will. She feels like she can do anything she wants, she's untouchable, and why shouldn't she control everyone below her? She CAN, so she will. I'm not Iranian, but I used to live in Iran long ago, and I can honestly say that some of the nicest people I've ever met live in Tehran. People just sometimes don't get it.. you know how the nation is divided when it comes to George W. Bush? At least half the country hates his guts, and almost the whole world probably does too, and thinks Americans are all stupid-seeming, country babbling morons like Bush appears to be. The truth is that there are some brilliant, amazing people in the US, I mean really special people that change the world.. You can't look at the ruler of a nation and its government and automatically believe that it's a direct reflection of the country's people, although that may sound illogical in a way. The bottom line is that Iranians are normal people, just like Americans. We all have our quirks, ya, but so what? That doesn't make us evil. Most Iranians would love to live in America, there's just so much oppression there, and actually love this country and its people. Sometimes they're not allowed to say so, because there's no such thing as free speech there, but it's true. It's ridiculous to think that people would want to destroy an entire country base on its rulers, government, etc. There are millions of people that live there that are nothing even close to bad, evil, etc., even if some members of a nation's government/policies are.

Bush won't attack Iran. He can no longer. he's unfold out too skinny in Iraq, and Iraq is basically too risky to be a strategic element as a results of rebellion sabatouge. Iran will could committ the 1st act of provocation, which they gained't. they are basically stokers super at spouting hate and different rhetoric. it quite is a chess activity with Iraqis & US infantrymen caught in the midsection.

Why ? So that some people in the US military industry can make more and more money ? After Iran, what else ? North Korea ? ( Just because they have nukes ?) and then what else ? Do the US really want to have enemies and live without any other countries ?

Hi Dear Amigo!
If you are American and you believe that there is a democracy in USA, then as you wrote 'some right wingers' should not have any power to committee 'nuke attack against any country' that constitute the crime against Humanity.

YOU must Take Notice, that today the 'International Court of Justice' has not, yet, have too much self esteem and confident.
However, as soon as, it get mature; the biggest trial would be held against American for all their attacks to weak countries in the Would like Afghanistan, and Iraq.

In particular, certainly in future we will see that International Court of Justice' would held the most scandalous trial against American for dropping two Atomic Bombs over Japan and killing hundreds of thousands children and innocent citizens.

In other hand;
However, most of the people in the World have trust that the USA is one of the worst dictatorship that ever human history has recorded, with just some 'Hollywood like Show' for Democracy.

The American and Canadian federalism was disaster for their citizens and in particular for the billion people of the World.
So, it is for your benefits that each 'State' become a country like everywhere in the World, that 'some crazy' people can not take the life of billions people in hostage.

On November 5, 2006 there was a survey in Canada, the most close and friend nation to American.
The majority of Canadian have voted "Bush much more Dangerous" than any terrorists in the World.

This is the American reputation in this Twenty First century in Canada; so you may consider that as the votes of the majority of of six billion people in the World, including many American.

Lastly, IRAN is a country that you may read in History as "Persia".
We 'Iranian' are the most experience nations in the World in WARS against the 'strong army' that ever any nation has created.
Iraq's eight years war against Iran was supported with USA, British, Russia, Germany and France!
Did they won, or all they lost!
Saddam with direct support of USA dropped 'Chemical Bombs in the Kurdistan, province of Iran. American must stand before the
trial judge in Iran with Saddam too.

AND Iranian economical war with American has been commence in last 25 years, where Iranian purchased over 800 billions Americans' properties.
This means the USA attacks to Iran would cause serious economical disaster for each American; while in sudden the World would stand behind Iran!

Lastly, the present Iranian President is very gentleman, he was professor and wrote two letters to American.
However, as soon as, USA attacks Iran, he may be changed with one of the worst crazy enemy of the American, which would be disaster for everyone.

No I think they should not attack Iran. People from Iran are like all the other people in the world. They want joy, family, a job. When people don't understand another culture they fear them. Fearing Iran and not understanding them is a big tragedy. Nuclear technology also make nuclear power. Not just nuclear bombs. maybe iran would like to have modern power capability's too like us. Imagine not having power all the time. Hard to understand isn't. But easy to fear and hate them for trying to get with the times.

There is no reason to believe that military operations in Iran would be any more effective that operations in Iraq. Nuclear war would eliminate any shread of international cooperation that we have left (not to mention it would be highly immoral). I would like to say we could threaten them out of their tactical position but unfortunatly our hands are tied in a very unpopular war in Iraq. Basically, we are going to have to live with the fact that we can not do anything about this tyrant because of mistakes this administration and former congress have made.

I agree we MUST leave them alone. If we'd left them alone in 1953, they would have a real and civilized democracy now. May I suggest "All the Sha's Men" by Steven Kinzer.
Thank you for asking this great question. From the responses I see that there are still many intelligent people out there that CAN think ofr themselves.

If the basis of attacking Iran si because they have nuclear weapons, then no we should not attack them. That is in part because we look the other way when Israel has nuclear weapons. We look the other way at Pakistan's nuclear weapons. I highly recommend looking the ties between Pakistan and Al Ciada, you'd be surprised. Anyways, we even look the other way at our own nuclear weapons, plus Mr. President of Iran is not threatening us, it is the other way around. So, yes nuking Iran is psychotic. it would be sad also because I'd lose some of my fantasy baseball playmates.

Psychotic is an understatement.

So I guess having Syria and its allies pitted against us could be solved by a Nuke too?

You are right. Many neo-cons are overly feisty. The answer is that we are never justified in attacking a country that hasn't attacked us first.
We don't attack another country because some politician tells us that it is "in our national interest".
Don't confuse the neo-cons with true conservatives like Pat Buchanan. Also, check out the John Birch Society if you want to see the position of real conservatives.
