I hear that when we (0-30) become eligible for Social Security that the amount we recieve will be far less than what SS is now days. Is this due to smaller families. I heard that they set up SS when families were having 5-10 children a household? Any insights on this?

Social Security is better for large size families but if smaller it will be best.

All I know is, is that Social security was founded in 1935, but there were flaws in it's long term plan, which is the reason that alot of people are suffering now. They simply didn't factor in that the US population would have expanded so quickly. With that already in effect, it is very hard for modern government to just simply come up with a quick fix for the SSI problem. But I hear with all the baby boomers and etc, there won't be anything to give for SSI and it won't be any more of it.
