You may be thinking of a movie titled "Black Sabbath". Filmed in Italy around 1962-63, by director Mario Bava; three horror stories, the final one starred Boris Karloff as the returning verdelak (not sure of spelling)--released in the US in 1963 w. dubbed soundtrack.
