Up to the age of 18 is NOT waiting your whole life to get a job. Completing high school is completing the basic knowledge required to hold down a job. During that time, hopefully, some maturity and responsibility will have seeped into the mix.
Death is inevitable. So what do plan to do your whole life anyway until you do die?

If you don't go to school, it is pointless. You will never get a good job, never do the things you want, and never even have a chance at understanding life or anything else.

It's pointless because you are thinking like an employee. What you are really refering to is Lifestyle. Lifestyle is having wealth and time. Since you're thinking like an employee, you spend all your time working and not having enough money. Yet, when you think like a business owner, you get to spend your time doing what you want to do and have enough money to suport what you want to do. You should read books that will help you do that like The Courage to be Rich, The Choice, Think and Grow Rich. So start thinking of what you would love to own or start a company. MSN does free websites and the websites can be found through a yahoo or google search. So good luck to you for real. I used to think like you and I had to start hanging around business owners to help the process. :) They always say, if you hang around broke ppl, you'll be broke yourself.

Ohhhhhh... Don't look at life like that. You need to go out more and party with friends.
But wait, are you referring to high school or college? Because if you're talking about high school then I recommend you stay in school because most employers won't hire you if you don't have a high school diploma or GED.
But if you're talking about college, well, you don't always need a college degree to get a good job. There's ways around it if you have the right contacts/resources.
Anyway, regardless of whether it's high school or college, you should party with friends. Invite them to your house, have them bring snacks and soda and play loud music. Life should be fun!

School is a place to meet other people, and learn to follow a career path that will be passionate to you. Think of it this way: If you didn't go to school, you wouldn't have been able to form this question, or put it together with punctuation for that matter.
Don't dwell on the eminent future. Focus on the day in front of you. Go out and have fun. Enjoy life! Go to school! Meet people!

No matter how much I wish life could be just about fun, Heres your boring answer.
Money.
You need a job to get money, and for a job, your going to need a education. Drop outs make tons less than someone who goes to collage.
So basically, if you waste your life doing a bunch of boring things, You will actually be able to do fun things in the future.

Well, going to school makes it possible to get a decent job and earn enough money to buy the necessities of life ... a place to stay, food to eat, clothing to cover you ... without those, you would die earlier.

people are here in earth for a purposed. We are here so that we can educate ourself and learn, think, teach, live our life knowing we made a difference for our young generations. Going to school and learning makes you smarter, and prepares u to the "real world" look at some crackheads, they are not educated, they are middle school dropouts, dumb, stupid, and go around acting all dumb...do u want to be like that? can u respect those people? Don't you want to be educated, smart, and walk around with respect and honor..and teach your offsprings the good stuff??

life is not pointless. neither is each day you live. sometimes school is'nt about the books. sometimes what you experience at school is just as important. death is inevitable, but it should make you wanna live that much greater knowing that you don't have forever on this earth.

The point is to work, multiply, survive and understand that what ever your beliefs are that life is all you really know. Enjoy it. It could be that this is all there is. So before you die, live.
