The incredibly gorgeous Salma Hayek is only 5' 2". (With her curves, seeing her in person must be an incredible sight.) Gillian Anderson of "The X-Files" is also 5' 2", as are Sally Field, Holly Hunter, and Reese Witherspoon. Debbie Reynolds and her daughter Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia in "Star Wars") are both 5' 1".
Perhaps the most accomplished short actress is Linda Hunt at 4' 9". She won an Oscar in 1982 for "The Year of Living Dangerously" (also starring an incredibly young Sigourney Weaver and Mel Gibson), and she was in cult favorite "Silverado" in 1985. More recently, she has been a judge in the TV show "The Practice," and she does a lot of voice over/narration work.

I read somewhere that you would br surprised that many actresses you see are actually shorter then they appear due to heals and camera angles. I remember hearing how Rachel Leigh Cook (not sure if people know who she is anymore though) was only like 4 foot 9, and most people were surprised by that. I imagine this could be the case with more stars.
