I would rather simply tell the person when asked what I want and get that then let someone guess and make it a surprise...what about you?

I would simply like to get what i want when asked. This way I dont have to worry about paying for it later on, if i want it. I dont like the idea of getting surprise, sometimes the gifts are useless and worthless. I would also have to fake about me likeing the gift, when the person that gave me the gift is present at the time.

My good lady and I go with the idea of writing a list for each other, but we always leave room for surprises, because there's always the possibility of wonderful gifts that you didn't know you wanted until you received them!

Actually, I love gifts that have thought about my personality about them, however small. Members of my family have become obsessed the last couple of years with Amazon Wish Lists, insisting you buy whats on there. They nag me to make one but I won't, cos if you cant put a little thought into a gift, its really not that special. But that's just my take on it.
