now my children want to celebrate my 60th birth day [SHASTIPOORTI-indian style].but i am trying to say -i am not old .just to avoid them taking pains,expenditure etc.

Come on! Enjoy your special day! As to your kids taking pains, expenditure etc - let them, because they WANT to do it, they are trying to tell you that you are special to them.
I just like to think that a birthday should make you feel like King for a day .. every one of us needs and deserves that.. When I celebrate someone's birthday, it's a way of telling that person I'm happy they were born, I'm glad I got to be part of their life.
Whether you do it big grand party style or small quiet family gathering, these ceremonies are special - for you and the ones you love. Little children of the family will watch and learn, older friends will reminisce and you will have created a special memory with the celebration for you all to look back at and remember in days to come.

It is same as a person in prison draws a line on the wall everyday and feel happy that one more day is gone living there.You should tell your family that they do not have to remind you,you know how much longer to stay in this prison.
