No I am sorry but it's unlikely you will ever make a decent salary. Lpns are basically liscensed caretakers or nursing assistances.
The shame is that there is little difference between Lpn and RNs.

I would plan on going for my RN. Once you get it and 1 year of experience behind you there will be offers from all over the country.
One of my daughters became an "RN" and the other a "medical tech" The RN started at 20 and has been offered up to 75 if she would relocate. The medical tech can not get a job offer period. her closest friend who finished school with her worked a year and half for 8,50 an hour taking blood at a blood plasma center 35 miles away (30 hrs a week). She finely landed a job with a doctor for 9 bucks an hour locally. unless she goes back to school she will never make a living, and that in most areas is where LPNs are. very few make a decent living . NOne of the LPN graduates here can find a job offering a livable salary. Most work in medical clinics for barely above minium wage even after many years of service.
It's hard for hospitals to get LPNs insured and few wish to have them other than clean up in emergency rooms or such. Most LPNs here are just cheap labout for local doctors and the hospital.

Don't be scared of the RN course. it's no worse than your LPN course was just better pay and benefits.
