Well that depends.. my credit cards bills go up... depends where you live.. electricity may be higher because of heat and having the extra decorations and if you have outdoor lights/lawn decor that'll really spike up your electric bill. Not only that... when it comes to Christmas most people (like me) go shopping overboard. Keep track of all your receipts and set a budget for holiday shopping. it really helps so you dont go spending thousands on one person and end up being to broke to buy a card for the next one on your list :) hope that helps.. oh and consider saving a little every paycheck starting in the summer if you know you'll need the extra dough for x-mas next year.

Omg. It is like every company is out to get you around the holidays!

Personally there should be a law so no payments have to be paid in Decemeber when the Season is about giving ( I don't consider bills "giving :) ), and then people will be able to for 1 month relax, and have more money for gifts! Plus it is such a pain in the *** to get bills in the mail mixed in with nice Christmas cards.

I don't think this is too much to ask!?!? Lol, yeah like this would ever happen! :)

Merry Christmas! Hope your mail isn't too pilled with bills!

Yah, it does. I know my car and home owner's insurance premiums are due 1/1. I guess I could have paid them earlier. I also will be paying my real estate taxes so I can take the tax benefit for this year. Some people set up little savings funds for Christmas, vacation, this and that, but I've never been really good at that. But I guess that's something we could look at doing at the beginning of 2007. Don't worry too much about it. Just don't overdo, which is easy to say when you have kids. Things for them aren't cheap.

I know what you mean, since our house taxes were due last week and that's big bucks. We save up for those once a year bills (like insurance, taxes, etc.), then they don't upset us when they come around.
You might want to start a Christmas fund in January and keep saving into it all year. Then you won't feel so stretched financially in December buying gifts and decorating.

Well..there are so many bills because of all the shopping we do for presents! I mean if you think about it, all the time during christmas they have special deals and such, so you are tempted to but more! Thats another reason why there are so many!

reason? lights. tree lights. outside lights. tv on much more to watch christmas show. many reasons. but yes, it does seem like there is much more money to be paid around christmas on bills.

Yes it does. You just need to stay on top of them so your credit doesn't bite the dust.
