...but presumably the tank is 100mx45mx10m and the concentration is 60mg/L.

Hint:
The mass of mercury is equal to the number of liters in the tank (there are 1000 Liters ins a cubic meter) multiplied by 0.060 grams/L

m=45000*1000*0.060=?;)

Hi. 45x10x100= volume in cubic meters. Each liter is 1000cc. Each liter contains 60cc of mercury. Just do the math.
